Bishop Arts

This past weekend, Oak Cliff was thriving with Cinco de Mayo activities. The parade down Jefferson Boulevard had a great turn out and the North Oak Cliff library hosted an afternoon celebration, including a paper flower workshop, ballet folklorico performance, and a piƱata! Bishop Arts Foundation joined in the fun with a free Upcycle Art maraca-making workshop.  Saturday was a perfect day to sit outside and craft.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day to be outside planting seeds! We had a great time working with the children and visitors attending Oak Cliff Earth Day. Bishop Arts Foundation held a flower planting workshop, which was the first workshop for our new Upcycle Art program! Upcycle Art not only educated community members on basic seed planting, but also on repurposing their paper egg cartons and keeping them out of the landfills.
